The series began its ground work in 2013 under a completely different title called "The 4 Elements" with a different story premise where the main 4 girls were witches. Lashawn Colvin got into the comic book industry professionally in early 2014 as a Comic Book Editor. She was hired to run Short Fuse Media Groups “Red Band“ label as Editor-n-Chief before they canceled all the titles under the label in 2019. Short Fuse is an indie Publishing Company that houses dozens of comic titles created by numerous writers and creators. When asked what's the future of her Beautiful Soldiers series Lashawn Colvin has stated she hopes to find Beautiful Soldiers a publisher.
